A few weeks ago while we were visiting the London Illustration Fair we fell in love with a project that shares totally our philosophy
Owl & Dog Playbooks is an independent children’s book publisher based in the UK who design books to be read and used creatively. They explore new and unusual formats, creating new experiences where the reading is transforming the book itself
OWL (the wise) represents reading, and DOG (the boisterous) represents the playing side. Through its books we will meet fishes from different colours and textures, we will be bears after reading their adventures in the sea, and our book will be transformed in different characters while reading “Helping Hen” A cardboard box is a world of possibilities to a child, and this perspective inspires them to come up with new ideas. Why does a book have to be a set of pages to be put on a shelf, when it can be a monster, or a mask?
Beautiful books designed to encourage the interaction between children and their parents
